Booking the Parish Hall - FAQs
How many people does the hall hold?
We permit up to 100 people.
Is there a kitchen?
Yes. It has a refrigerator, kettles and microwaves (but no other cooking facilities).
There are plenty of cups, saucers and side plates plus cutlery.
Is there disabled access?
Yes. There is a ramp down to the main door and inside there is a toilet with wheelchair access.
Is there a car park?
Yes. Our car park has thirteen spaces, one of which is reserved for people with a blue badge, and one is reserved for parish use at all times. There is also free street parking.
Is there Wi-Fi?
No, we do not have Wi-Fi.
How late can an event run?
Events may run until 10 p.m. We do not permit later events out of consideration for nearby residents.
Can I hold a party in the hall?
Children's day-time parties are welcome, but we regret that we do not accept bookings for evening parties.
Please note that we do not permit the use of bouncy castles.
How much does it cost?
The standard rate is £22 per hour but we offer concessions to charities and for most private bookings: please ask.
The minimum charge for one-off bookings is equivalent to three hours’ hire.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
We ask for £100 or 25% of the hire fee, whichever is the greater, to confirm your booking. The balance of the payment is due 7 days before the date of the hire.
Provided that you have complied with the booking conditions, your deposit will be returned in full at the end of your session.
Do you take regular bookings?
Yes, we do but, with a number of regular groups using the hall, many popular times are already taken, as can be seen on the bookings calendar. Tell us your preferred days and times, and the purpose for which you would like to use the hall, and we will see what is possible.
